Simple, Sweet, and Easy Vegan Chocolate Covered Marshmallows!
Ingredients
- 1 Bag of Dandie’s Marshmallows
- 1 Pack of Enjoy Life Semi Sweet Chocolate
- Small Amount Of Coconut Oil
- Lollipop Sticks (Optional)
Directions
Prepare Tray. Grab a tray, plate, or container and line it with parchment paper. Set aside.
Prep Marshmallows. Grab your marshmallows and lollipop sticks. Use as many or as few marshmallows as you’d like and place the lollipop stick right inside them. (You can also use a wooden skewer, or skip this step completely.)
Melt Chocolate. In a pot, throw in 2 cups of your semi-sweet chocolate chips with a spoonful of coconut oil. Let this melt over low heat stirring once or twice. Once you notice the chocolate is fully melted take it off the heat. (This step is a quick process – don’t overcook your chocolate because it will become lumpy and hard.)
Cover Marshmallows. Dip one marshmallow at a time into the chocolate, you will need a spoon to help fully cover it. Remove any remaining excess chocolate that is dripping by twisting the stick in a circular motion. Set in the freezer for 4 minutes or until the chocolate hardens.
Plate. Place as many as you’d like on a plate, and enjoy!
Bonus Tip. After dipping in chocolate, you can toss the marshmallows in…
- Toasted coconut flakes
- Gogi berries
- Sprinkles
- Sea salt
- Small candies like crushed peppermint candy, vegan M&M’s, or a vegan candy bar.
- Use a pretzel stick versus a lollipop stick
- Sandwich your chocolate marshmallow in between two graham crackers
Notes
The fun part is you can use various toppings for the chocolate-covered marshmallows.
To keep the chocolate marshmallows fresh, store them in an airtight container. They can be kept at room temperature for about seven days, or in the refrigerator if you desire.
You can also freeze them in an airtight container or freezer bag for up to two months. Double-wrap them to help prevent moisture from getting to them
